The Vision that Motivates Us...

It is our hope that Bricks and Books will become a platform that shared by young people and their loved ones, and which empowers us to make quality education more accessible to the children and communities who need it.

• For the young people who join us in our efforts, we want to share the excitement of taking responsibility for our generation, and to contribute to something bigger than our everyday lives.

• For the parents and friends who support our cause, we want to build a lasting connection of fulfillment that goes beyond culture, age and geographic differences.

Our Working Approach

Utilizing our Bricks and Book formula (see below), our goal is to develop a replicable model for education improvement in rural villages throughout Tanzania.

In a typical project, together with the community, we will initially address the most critical needs of the school in a joint effort with the community. At the same time, we will work with village leaders to develop business which will generate funds for future needs of the school.

Our focus

To help the most vulnerable children in each of the communities we work with, Bricks and Books focus on working with the government schools for the villages. We will also typically ask for and expect close support and cooperation from the leaders of the community.
